Long Time No Craft

Hey guys, Its been a long while since my last post. Since thing I haven't been doing much crafting, more like just settling in. Luckily, thanks to my Pintrest addiction I have relit the crafting fire in my soul. I have LOTS AND LOTS of upcoming projects that I'm looking forward to sharing with you guys such as a ruffle children's dress, children's shoes, as well as the final result of "Frame Me"( Which is one you do not want to miss!). I was also thinking about posting about some of my favorite hair tricks. maybe call them "the hair chronicles", who knows, let me know what you guys think of that idea.

An update on me is not much, school and work are life consuming as well as 25 hours of classroom observation, cleaning, studying while also maintaining a social life. It is no easy challenge. If you were to see my calender at work or even my planner you will see how chaotic it truly is, but without it there I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I would have to say the biggest blessing that comes from my hectic schedule is how good my organizational qualities have gotten. Whoot Whoot! Well thats about all I have to say today, be expecting something else very soon! TILL THEN!

Wine and Canvas

Today my good friend/ neighbor Lisa took me to an event downtown. It was a painting class called "Wine and Canvas". No drinking for me but besides that it was a blast! I highly recomed it for anyone and everyone. It was increadibily easy and they walk you through it step by step. It was hosted at abuelo's so if you don't eat before you can order during the class. The class was from 6-9, I know that sounds like a long time but trust me it really flies. You don't need to be an expert painter or have ever taken a drawing class, you will enjoy this. Its a $35.00 event and everything is provided for you.
In my class we painted a peacock and although I couldn't take a picture ever step of the way, I did take a picture at break and the final result. If your interested in this visit www.wineandcanvas.com and make sure you search for the ones located in okc.
At Break, The sun was setting behind me so you cant really see the true color

And this is the Final Result. I am a proud little painter and best of all I had a BLAST.

Frame Me: Part 1, "The Frame"

I'm making a picture frame jewelry holder. Now because I live in the dorms of Oklahoma Hall I am graced with a magnetic wall. Because of this I wanted a light weight frame so that it could be held up by mangets. While Antiquing with my friend Hannah today I found the perfect frame, and for $6, (better than the $20 at hobby lobby)

This is my $6.00 plastic picture frame. The picture in it was a terrifying picture of kids running from school, it needed my help. Looks like a nice little frame all cleaned up... up close? Not so much. I did it a favor and took too it with some glossy black spray paint.

BAM!!!!! Wonderful if you ask me !

Shopping Finds.

Now I didn't find this at an antique story, I found it at good ol' Hobby Lobby, but I thought it was fantastic so I just had to share.

It has found a happy home in my room.

Here We Go!

First Post!
I guess I could start with why I started this blog. I created this blog because A. My Facebook was getting full of thing I made/stoned/wanted to do, and B. I stumble far too much for my health and see a lot of people with blogs so I figured I would join the masses. I plan on using this blog to post projects of things that I'm doing or plan to do, and I also plan to post pictures of things that I will find when I thrift/antique.

I'm a college student so my updates my not be every day or week but I will try my hardest to do something weekly. I'm really looking forward to doing this so let the adventure begin ya'll!
